Sadly, three orca died in a mass stranding on the coast of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. Dr Visser and the Orca Research Team headed over to help with the recovery of the skeletons as well as to assist with monitoring the five orca who were successfully returned to join their family members.  After eight days all the orca headed out to see and boat and aerial searches did not find them (no news is good news!).
